Personal Life

 I was born and raised in Mexia, TX and after spending 20 years in the Dallas & Celina area, moved back to Mexia in 2010 to be near family and lifelong friends. I am proudly  raising my family in Mexia and we enjoy many activities in the area. I am a firm believer of supporting local businesses and serve on several Boards for worthy causes in our community. I am a huge supporter of Mexia Downtown and serve as a Founding Member and President of Mexia Downtown.

Pat is a lifelong resident of Limestone County. She has had her Real Estate license for many years and has worked for Heritage Real Estate in Mexia for the past 2 years.  She has 2 grown children, 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Pat loves her hometown of Mexia, her State and Country and her job! Pat notes that she is happy that she knows most of the residents in the area.  She is a Baylor University Graduate and taught school for 45 years in Mexia and surrounding school districts.  She continues to teach Driver’s Education for the local high schools.

Pat enjoys listing and showing properties in the area, whether it be Homes, Land or Lake Property. She has a great ability to make all her Clients feel comfortable.

Kelly Lauderdale is a lifelong resident of Limestone County. His roots and love for this area of Texas run deep. A Graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University, Kelly has worked in the public school system for 30 years before retiring and choosing to become a full-time Realtor.  He is an active member of Ducks Unlimited and helps coordinate events for the local chapter.  Kelly really enjoys driving out in the country to look at acreage and Lake Properties.

Kelly has been married to Lisa Lauderdale for over 30 years and they have two wonderful children and 1 grandchild. Kelly says, “I Love my career in Real Estate and look forward to helping you find your dream property.”

Dawn Cate James was born and raised in Mexia and graduated from Mexia High in 1987. She has been married for 31 years to David James, who was also a Mexia graduate of 1980.
Dawn has been a Realtor for 2 ½ years. She is also a licensed Auctioneer in the State of Texas which allows her assist clients with estate liquidation – auctioning off both personal property and real estate.

Dawn has 30 plus years of business experience. Over her career she has specialized in sales, marketing,
and customer relations. She had a long and prestigious career in the newspaper industry as a Regional
Executive Director for BH Media and the publicly traded McClatchy Newspapers. As Regional Executive
Director she managed a 5 state region (Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, and Kentucky). The larger
circulation newspapers she managed were the Fort Worth Star Telegram, Waco Tribune-Herald, Tulsa World and the Kansas City Star.

Dawn also has an entrepreneur background as she and her husband have owned several small
businesses over the years such as a tanning salon, a fitness center, and currently an antique shop. They have 
decided to move home to Mexia to be close to family and friends and look forward to becoming involved in their hometown community again.
